But i could see lot of company's delivering their software over internet due to the cost advantage. Also it's faster and more efficient. But very less people check for integrity. For e.g.: when we download the software from a trusted site it would be good if they could mail the check sum to verify the integrity.

Comment on Applications Downloads – Are they from trusted websites?

Nice post,

I think that a company should purchase the software on cds. The rules and the concerns raised are as well applied to the current scenario where spoofing, fraudulations etc is an easy task. The main take away on this is the business case which the technology brings on table. The added advantages outweighing the disadvantage by a trench gap.

Comment on PCI DSS 1.2 and Wifi Security

I agree with the principle, however I still see some value in cases where hacker is hacking without any particular target. Naturally if he/she has to choose, it would be the one where broadcast is enabled raher than finding the SSID. My question really is why expicitly mention that in the standards.

Comment on PCI DSS 1.2 and Wifi Security

Dont believe in "Security through obscurity".

Keep it open and secure.

Maneesh
